How
our steam generator works

  • Extracts stale air and lowers the temperature, allowing the steam generator to supply steam efficiently.

  • Provides a steady supply of fresh air to the hammam. It can be installed separately, but for better performance, it can be integrated directly into the Fog Maker.

  • The steam generator should be connected through a dedicated circuit breaker rated for the required load and a 30 mA residual-current device.

  • Installed 1.5–1.7 metres above the floor, approximately at seated head height, away from the steam outlet and entrance door.

  • Can be mounted on the wall or attached to the steam generator housing using built-in magnets.

  • The hammam’s main lighting can be connected to the steam generator and controlled from the control panel. Maximum load: 120 W. Due to the 100% humidity in a hammam, lighting voltage must not exceed 24 V. Always use a suitable step-down power supply rated for the type of light fitting.

  • An ideal option for adding aromatherapy to the hammam. The pump connects to the steam generator and is configured via the Waimag control panel. Up to four additional devices can be connected to a single steam generator.

  • A steam nozzle that mixes steam from the steam line with cool air from the fan, producing a dense, white mist at the outlet.

  • The steam generator is connected to the water supply using a 3/4″ flexible hose.

  • Allows the steam generator to be integrated into a smart home or building automation system and controlled via Modbus.

Synchronous Operation
of Multiple Steam Generators

When a single steam generator does not provide sufficient capacity, multiple units can operate synchronously as one system, controlled from a single control panel or remote switch.

The slave steam generator can operate with or without its own temperature sensor. If no temperature sensor is installed on the slave unit, it is controlled by the master steam generator.

The slave steam generator is controlled by closing its remote switch via one of the optional outputs on the master unit. This output must be configured as a “Run” signal. Please note: a control panel is required for configuration.

(Humid Sauna)

The Waimag steam generator can operate as a slave unit, rather than relying exclusively on its own control panel. This makes it suitable for use in humid sauna systems as an alternative to the HygroMatik StandardLine.

Automatic Flushing

The steam generator tank is fully drained during operation every 4 hours. The control panel allows you to adjust the interval between drain cycles, with a minimum interval of 1 hour. Automatic draining can also be disabled by setting the interval to 0 hours.

One hour after the steam generator is switched off, the automatic draining and flushing cycle starts. First, the used water is drained from the tank. The tank is then filled and drained twice to remove sediment. Finally, the system is flushed with fresh running water while the drain valve remains open.

The bottom of the steam generator tank is sloped towards the drain outlet, ensuring complete drainage. This prevents water from standing in the tank and reduces limescale build-up on the bottom. The large diameter drain outlet allows even larger pieces of scale to be flushed out effectively.

All internal connections where limescale could accumulate are designed with an increased diameter, helping to prevent scale build-up and blockages.

Control Panel

The Control Panel gives you full control over the hammam — from temperature and session duration to advanced system settings. Switch the lights on and control additional equipment, such as the Aroma Pump and ventilation. Set up a weekly operating schedule.

The Control Panel can be attached magnetically to the steam generator housing or neatly wall-mounted.

When multiple steam generators operate synchronously and supply steam to the same room, only one Control Panel is required.

Temperature Sensor

The Temperature Sensor sends temperature readings to the steam generator and is an essential part of the hammam system. Choose between the standard version and the protected Vandal-Resistant Sensor.

Install the sensor inside the hammam at a height of 1.5–1.7 m above the floor.

When multiple steam generators operate synchronously and supply steam to the same room, only one Temperature Sensor is required.

Vandal-Resistant Sensor

The standard Temperature Sensor has one drawback: once installed, it looks a little like a button. “There’s the steam button!” a visitor might think — and press it, potentially damaging the control system.

For public hammams, we therefore recommend the Vandal-Resistant Sensor. It is fully protected against external impact while maintaining highly accurate temperature measurements.

The classic nozzle design provides an even and safe supply of steam from the steam pipe into the hammam.

Can be installed vertically or horizontally. Made from polycarbonate and tempered glass.

Fog Maker

Steam is naturally colourless. To appear white, it needs to begin condensing. The Fog Maker combines steam from the steam pipe with cool air from the supply fan. At the nozzle, this creates a dense white mist rather than ordinary steam.

A hammam equipped with a Fog Maker creates a much more impressive visual effect than a conventional hammam.

Aroma Pump

The Aroma Pump connects to the steam generator. The control panel allows you to set how long the pump dispenses the fragrance and the interval between doses.

The pump accurately doses the required amount of fragrance, transferring it from the fragrance container into the steam generator’s steam pipe.

The pump must be installed in a way that prevents the fragrance from flowing back into the steam generator tank.

Hammam Fragrance

For hammam aromatherapy, we recommend the Brume de Hammam range by French manufacturer Camylle.

These fragrances are milk-based, allowing the formula to dissolve completely in water. They are ready to use and require no dilution.

The price shown is for the most popular fragrance — Eucalyptus & Mint in a 5-litre container. You can also choose from 20 other fragrances. Four pack sizes are available: 250 ml, 500 ml, 1 L and 5 L.

With every purchase of a 5 L Camylle fragrance, we include a convenient holder for the container.

Supply Fan

The Waimag steam generator can control the supply fan automatically. Whenever steam is supplied to the hammam, the supply fan switches on at the same time, ensuring a continuous supply of both steam and fresh air.

The Supply Fan can be installed on its own, but it is far more effective when used together with the Fog Maker. In this configuration, it serves two purposes: supplying fresh air and condensing the steam to create a denser mist.

The fan is fully protected against moisture and dust to IP68. Its motor and circuit board are encapsulated in a special compound, protecting the unit from condensation and direct water exposure.

Exhaust Fan

The Waimag steam generator can control the exhaust fan automatically. The fan switches on when the temperature in the hammam reaches the set maximum, removing excess humidity and stale air while lowering the temperature.

Once the temperature drops to the set level, the exhaust fan switches off, and the steam generator and supply fan switch back on. This ensures a regular supply of steam for visitors.

The exhaust fan can also be configured to ventilate the hammam after use.

The fan is installed in the ceiling within the ventilation duct. It is fully protected against moisture and dust to IP68. Its motor and circuit board are encapsulated in a special compound, protecting the unit from condensation and direct water exposure.

Cleaning Agent

The cleaning agent container connects to the steam generator tank.

Based on the operating hours counter, the unit automatically pumps the agent from the container, dissolves limescale and flushes the tank outside working hours.
